Instinct Marketing is a digital marketing agency located in Sacramento, California. We work with small to medium-sized businesses across California and the U.S. that need new website designs and/or want to grow their local business through online marketing.
Instinct Marketing was founded in 2019 by Jonathan Pinedo and Brett Prentiss. Jon and Brett joined forces after years of experience in their respective fields.
Jon graduated from CSU Sacramento with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering but started making money online through affiliate marketing in the last two years of college. He gained experience and skills working with SEO from his own online efforts and advertising through a digital marketing position in which he worked for roughly two years. Eventually, Jon quit his day-time job to pursue his first online business full-time and shared with Brett, a long-time high school friend, how online marketing works and the marketing agency business model.
At this point, Brett had been working at Verizon’s sales department for the last 10 years, and he was ready for a change. He led Verizon in several sales categories while he was employed there. Hence, he had the skills and experience to get in front of business owners and potentially sell online marketing to them.
Instinct Marketing was born through multiple conversations about offering services to local businesses in Sacramento, CA. The first couple of years was a struggle. We knew we had the skills to offer digital marketing services, but attaining the first few clients was difficult for us.
